Padma Awards are the India’s highest civilian awards presented in different disciplines for one’s distinguished service and exceptional services- art, trade and industry, medicine, literature and education, sports, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, civil service, etc. The Padma awards are given under three categories – Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri Awards.

Totally 89 persons are awarded Padma Awards. This list of awardees include,
Padma Vibhushan – 7,
Padma Bhushan – 7, and
Padma Shri Awardees – 75.

Padma Vibhushan Awards 2017:

It is the second highest civilian award and it is awarded for exceptional and distinguished service.
