UGC NET Notification 2016 – NET Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Exam Date, Syllabus, and Online Application Form:

About UGC NET Exam:

Every year, The CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) releases the notification to conduct the NET (National eligibility Test) on behalf of UGC, twice in a year and the exam will be conducted in the month of July and December. The qualified candidates in the NET exam will be awarded and eligible for pursuing Junior Research Fellowship(JRF) or can be work as Assistant professors. and eligible to govt. exams for Degree lecturers and Junior lecturers based on the candidates performance in the exam. The interested candidates can Apply Online Before 12th May 2016.




UGC NET exam will be conducted in 83 subjects to determine the candidtes eligibility for lecturership and for Research Fellowship. The candidates who have completed their PG can apply to take the test in their related subjects in PG.

Assistant Professors:

The candidates who have been qualified in the NET Exam will be awarded to work as Assistant professor and also eligible to apply for government Degree Lecturers or Junior Lecturers posts whenever notification releases. In most of the reputed colleges, the management is giving preference to select the candidate who has qualified in the NET Exam in particular subjects. So it will be added advantage for them to qualify in NET.

UGC NET JRF (Junior Research Fellowship):

The candidates who were qualified in JRF has the bright career and they can do the research work in their interested subject and they will be provided the stipend at the time of research fellowship.

UGC NET Notification 2016:

 

UGC has released the notification to conduct NET Exam in July 2016 for eligibility of Assistant Professors and JRF. The exam will be scheduled to conduct on 10th July 2016. The candidates who are applying for both JRF & Assitant Professor are intimated that the UGC will decide the candidates whether they are suitable for JRF or Assistant professor based on the performance in all the 3 papers.

Important Dates to Apply and UGC NET Exam Date:

Start Date of Online Submission of Application: 12/04/2016.

Close Date of Online Submission of Application: 12/05/2016.

Last date to pay the fee (The requisite fee can be payable through the system generated e-challan form) –13/05/2016.




Scheduled Date of Online Exam: 10/07/2016.

UGC NET Exam Eligibility Criteria:

Educational qualification: The candidate should complete the Post Graduation in any of the subjects from the list of UGC subjects including languages.

Note: The candidates are not required to send any certificates /documents as a proof of their eligibility to CBSE.If any candidate has detected that not fulfills the eligibility criteria can be canceled their candidature at any stage of selection process.

Age Limit:

1) Junior Fellowship: The candidate should be below 28 years as on 01/07/2016. (The SC/ST/PWD/Woman applicants has age relaxation).

2) Assistant Professor: There is no upper age limit applicable for assistant professor. Those who have finished their PG can apply to take the test in PG related subject.

Application Fee for UGC NET Exam: UGC NET Notification 2016

For General category applicants the fee should be Rs. 600.

For OBC candidates : Rs.300.

For SC/ST/PWD applicants: Rs.100.

Note: After filling the application form through online, the e-payment challan will be generated. the candidate can pay the fee either in online by using the credit card/debit card or by consulting the bank’s branch. After paying the fee the candidate needs to check whether the status is Ok or not.

CSIR/UGC Net Exam Pattern: NET Exam Date – 10th July 2016

The NET Exam contains 3 papers. these 3 papers will be conducted individually in separate sessions as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd session.
Paper-I (Morning Session from 9:30 am to 10:45am) – 100 marks – (50 Q’s should have to answer out of 60 questions) – 1hour 15 minutes.
Paper-II (Morning Session from 11:15 am to 12:30pm) – 100 marks – (50 Q’s) – 1hour 15 minutes.
Paper-III (Afternoon Session from 2 pm to 4:30 pm) – 150 marks – (75 Questions) – 2hour 30 minutes.
The candidate has to to get qualifying marks in all the three papers.

How to Apply: UGC NET Exam 2016

The candidates who are eligible to take NET exam and wants to apply can have to go to the CBSENET website.
Check the details of the application process from the below link and click on the button ‘Proceed to Apply Online’ bottom of the page.
Fill the details by selecting the choice of your application for JRF or Assistant Professor. (i) Exam details – subject, exam center.
(ii) Personal details.
(iii) Education details.
(iv) password and then fill security captcha and click NEXT button.
3. Here you have to upload the scanned copies of your recent passport size photo and signature.
4. Pay the Exam fee whether in online using NET Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card or by consulting the bank’s branch with e-PaymentChallan.
5. after paying the fee the candidate need to check the status whether it is ok or not.
6. Take the printout of submitted application for future reference.

UGC NET Online Application Form to Apply

UGC-NET Exam Admit Card – July 2016:

After finishing the closing date of online application process. The admit cards will be uploaded in the cbsenet website in the 3rd week of June 2016 by screening the online submitted applications. The applicants has to download their admit cards to know the venue details for taking the test and the admit card is must to attend the exam without this the candidate is not allowed to take the test.
